THOUGHT PROVOKING..
Autumn Skies
There are messages there
up in the skies
If only we humans
opened our eyes
Today I saw gossamer
Angelic Folds
Spreading out like a huge fan
All grey, pink and gold
Like the wings of a Goddess
What a joy to behold.
As if to a harp's strings
Autumn wafts above
Winds sing to the Summer
Bidding 'Adieu' with love
Hear a kiss from the breeze
rustle the leaves
as they tumble like trinkets
from the tawny clad trees
To lie where they land
all tarnished and curled.
Till, with the onset of Winter
like fingers unfurled.
They whither away
return to the Earth
Enriching it's goodness
to prepare for New Birth
I feel like I've transcended
up into the sky
I breathe in it's goodness
As the clouds pass me by.
Here, from my window
It's so wondrous to see
The sweep of a hillside
The arms of a tree.
Rocking the swallows
as the prepare for their flight
the red ball of sun
as it sinks into night.
There are messages there
Up in the skies
If only we humans
opened our eyes
Instead of proceeding
with our lives at great speed
We should give ourselves time
Their meaning to read.
Like an unfurled
of the birds
In the trees
The lace.
There are messages there
up in the skies
If only we humans
opened our eyes
Today I saw gossamer
Angelic Folds
Spreading out like a huge fan
All grey, pink and gold

What a joy to behold.

One day you’ll take your rightful place, and illuminate the quiet grace..
which shines behind your lovely face. There’s more to you than just good looks
(make sure that I can do your books.) And when that time comes sister,
I feel I have to say....You know that I am here for you, with you all the way.
Thanks for all you are to me.. 'Have a wonderful Birthday.'
This poem was penned by Maggie to celebrate love shared between sisters.
